On the May 24, the launching ceremony of Champion Fund was held at Beijing Sport University. Mr. Yu Zaiqing, vice chairman of International Olympic Committee and vice minister of the General Administration of Sport of China, Mr. Guo Changjiang, Vice President of the Red Cross Society and Chairman of the board of Chinese Red Cross Foundation, Mr. Frank Fredericks, Member of the Executive board of International Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Athletes' commission of IOC, Ms. Yang Yang, the co-founder of the fund and the first Chinese Champion of Winter Olympic Games, and several other Olympic champions, entrepreneurs attended the ceremony.

On the ceremony, Mr. Guo Changjiang reviewed the long history of the relationship between Olympic Games and Red Cross Movement. Ms. Yang Yang, the co-founder, introduced the background and goal of the fund. Mr. Frank Fredericks introduced the IOC锟斤拷S Athletes' Occupation Development Training Program.

The Champion Fund will be a sub-fund under Chinese Red Cross Foundation, aiming to carry out Charity Projects for retired athletes锟斤拷 occupation development and communication of happy sport spirits.
