"); document.write("2008-08-11"); document.write("The first attempt of CRCF to grant funds to NGOs to carry out projects for the goods of the rebuilding in the earthquake area achieved the first result from the 1st selection process. 5 project proposals passed through the strict selection criteria conducted by assessment committee that comprised of 15 experts coming from research institutes, media, companies and legal sectors, etc. \r\n\r\nThe 5 NGOs and their projects are: \r\n1) Tian Jin Hetong Charitable Foundation for the Aged with their proposal to set up a specialized resthome in De Yang (district) city for the aged who became single or disabled during the earthquake; \r\n2) China Environmental Protection Foundation with their project to set up biological lavatories in the earthquake area; \r\n3) Shanghai Social Worker Agency for Public Affairs with their service proposal to rebuild the social relationship within the community of the victims in the earthquake area and they will start with some selected communities in Du Jiang Yan, Sichuan province;\r\n4) Beijing ChaoYang District Pu Gong Ying Training Center and their service proposal to offer compound and professional services to the earthquake area; \r\n5) Global Village of Beijing, Environmental Education Center and their project to set up a Le He Home, an educational center, in Peng Zhou, Sichuan province; \r\n\r\nThe projects were selected from 31 applications and the first fund granting will be actualized once the official agreements are signed to regulate the project implementation details. \r\n\r\nThe 5-12 office will start to accept new applications for the next round very soon. \r\n
