Lower Limb Disabilities Aid
Background

According to official statistics, by the end of 2006, the total number of the disabled in China reached 82.97 million, of which 24.12 million are physically disabled. Among them, many are under the age of 16 years old and a large number of them can get rehabilitation through the early surgical treatment. Experts believe that the best age for the treatment of a patient of lower limb disability is at the age of 3 to 17. However, the treatment normally cost a lot more than a poor family can afford. A delay in treatment often results in children with lifelong physical disabilities, which can cause psychological pain. To give the children with lower limb disabilities a chance to have a normal life, we need your help!

Running Angel Fund is, therefore, initiated by an entrepreneur Mr. Tang Tang. It is an important component of the “Angel Program” advocated by Chinese Red Cross Foundation (CRCF) targeted at rehabilitating physically disabled children.

The Theme of Angel Run Fund is “it’s free, it’s smooth, and it makes children’s running dreams comes true”. The program plans to raise RMB 50,000,000 in 5 years to help 1000 poor families to get their child the treatments necessary to regain the ability of run (walk).
