"Angel Program" awarded the 2007 Chinese Charity Award, the highest prize for public welfare projects in China
 

The "Angel Program", is a key program that was established in August 2005 and comprised of various funds targeting at different types of minorities. Its purpose is to improve the living and health conditions of poor farmers and children, to arouse public attention to the rural health condition problems and to raise funds and necessary materials, supplementing the governmental efforts to take care of the minorities in the poorest area by building up village clinics or town hospitals, training village doctors, and to assist the treatment for the serous disease of the poor families.

In the latest two years, the program has set up 338 village clinics and town hospitals in remote area of 27 provinces, provided free training course to 321 village doctors, provided medical assistance to more than 5000 poor peasants and children who were suffered from leukemia, congenital heart disease, cerebral palsy, cleft lip and palate, deaf, cancer, etc. (Data dd. It is thus awarded the 2007 Chinese Charity Award for public welfare projects in Apr. 2008 and becomes one of the most famous public projects of China.
